Tropical storm warnings remain in effect for North Carolina, and high tides are expected up and down the East Coast.

The first Atlantic hurricane of 2025 is expected to bring heavy rain to the Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Gradual strengthening was forecast over the next several days as it moves closer to the northern Leeward Islands.
